After publishing the book "From Do to Sol," I felt a need for a follow-up book for more advanced students (second or third year) where they would face more advanced technical playing challenges. In the current book, all compositions are in the tonality of A (minor, major, and sometimes modulating from one to the other). This is how the book came to be called from La... to La-La-La.
Each piece has a title in Yiddish beginning with the syllable "La". Another intention was to expose students and teachers to the beauty and uniqueness of the Yiddish language. In a certain sense, there is a paradox here because the titles are in Yiddish, while Jewish motifs do not characterize the music itself. May teachers and students enjoy the book and, through it, connect emotionally to 18 Yiddish words, which, over time, can serve as a key to discovering the treasures of Mame-loshn (mother tongue).
